You maybe have heard about Debbie does Dallas, this is totally different. Sweet Hole Sister Slammer had to bail out of the Green Dress run from two weeks ago. Even worse, he moved to a completely other part of the country. He is using this weekend to show us Zwolle, that is also not where he lives, but still. There is a direct train (1h 12m) from Amsterdam CS.

There could also be a FILTH Tulip Bicycle Hash this Saturday. There is no news about this yet. Start Me Up and Give It A Blow often pick the Saturday of the Bloemencorso, but not always. If they do this year, it will be today. Many Amsterdam Hashers join that event. Is it wise to do an Amsterdam Hash as well this weekend?

The World looks a lot better through orange glasses. Today we have a prelube to the main Dutch National Holiday; KONINGSDAG. Apart from orange glasses, you wear your best orange outfit just to practice for the real thing the day after.

– Saturday – A Whole Day Event –

Provisional plan: It is Amsterdam Pride Parade today, no better day for a hash. We pick a nice spot along one of the canals. Have a short run from there and make sure we are back before the parade starts. We have a very short circle -subtle hint for our RA-.

We do the run, watch the parade, have lunch, beer and fun. By the time the parade is near the end we start poking up the BBQ.

After food there is no reason whatsoever to go home yet. It is Summer, we are in a nice spot, we have drinks and we are in good company. It is impossible to run out of anything, there is a supermarket around the corner.

You come by public transport (Metro Waterlooplein). And even after it is all over, the night is still young.

The Pride Parade is part of a two week WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 Festival. On the first day of the festival (Saturday August 25ᵗʰ) we also have our unique Canal Hash by our very own Missing Link. Indeed, these are two Amsterdam Hash Specials in a row. There is no better reason to spend a week or two in Amsterdam.
